Community Caring
You know about our terrific birthday parties, group events, mother’s day outs, open plays and classes. But you may not know about some of the other things we do for our community. In fact, one of the reasons we started KaZoing! was to be able to do more in our community to support kids and the things kids need to flourish. Our goal is to make KaZoing! big enough so that we can do even more big things that have a major impact in kids’ lives. One of the coolest things we do every year is hosting a Christmas party for the kids at the Kentucky School for the Blind. The North Oldham Lions Club runs the party and by holding it at KaZoing!, the Lions are now able to invite all of the kids from the school instead of just a small handful.
In the previous years we have been able to help more than 100 schools, scouts, libraries, churches and other groups in the Louisville area with an average of $40,000 per year in donations of parties, passes, supplies and staffing. We have also sponsored YMCA sports teams, the India Community Foundation’s youth chess league and the summer reading programs in Oldham, Shelby and Bullitt counties. We also used KaZoing! for fundraisers for Kenwood Elementary, the Jefferson County Foster Care/Adoption Association and the March of Dimes. See below for list of all those who received support from KaZoing!
In December we hold our annual birthday bash and last year our proceeds went to the Jefferson County Foster Care/Adoption Association. They are the folks that look after kids who are in foster care and can’t be with their biological parents. We raised more than $500 in cash to the help the group buy Christmas gifts for foster boys and girls. As you can see in the photo, more than 4 grocery carts overflowing with toys were donated, as well.
